In a perfect world everything would work ... well perfectly. You will never need access to your remote SignagePlayers. And while we at MediaSignage make every effort to make sure your Digital Signage Players run uninterrupted for months at a time (without a single reboot may I add); we still give you all the tools you need to remote manage your SignagePlayer Desktop version. These tools include remote soft restart, remote hard reboot, remote live screen shots, memory threshold monitoring and more. And, 99.9999% of the time all these tools are all you need, but it’s still a good idea to have a backdoor into your SignagePlayer just for that 0.1% chance you need to manually manage your remote PC. If nothing else, this will give you the confidence you need to know you can always access your players; just in case. And so, below you find a detailed list of the most popular remote desk applications. Some of which are great and Free and rely on open HTTP port traffic thus bypassing Firewalls (like LogMeIn), and some which are more complex to setup (need static IP or port forwarding) and are also FREE (like Tight VNC). So check them out below and Google for the ones you think will work best for your Digital Signage Network.
